Haunting Lab Zero Beta is Available
Today marks the first public beta release of Haunting Lab Zero.
Built in Godot and designed for researchers, game developers, artists, and students, Haunting Lab Zero explores a simple question: how can architecture, time, and spatial relationships be modelled to produce the appearance of haunting? Rather than attempting to detect the paranormal, the software provides a repeatable research environment for building symbolic floor plans, running simulations, visualising presence, and exporting evidence for further analysis.
This is only the beginning. The beta already includes a complete research workflow—from drawing and analysis through to simulation, presentation mode, and CSV export… and future releases will continue to expand its capabilities as both a research instrument and a teaching tool.
If you’re interested in procedural haunting, spatial simulation, horror game design, or experimental digital heritage, I’d love to hear what you create with it.
Windows Security Notice
Because Haunting Lab Zero is an independent beta application and is not yet digitally code-signed, Windows SmartScreen or your antivirus software may initially flag it as an unrecognised application. This is expected behaviour for newly released software and does not indicate that the application is malicious. If you downloaded Haunting Lab Zero from this official website, it is safe to install. Code signing is planned for a future release.
